  Mark Steenland never paid my commercial insurance when i asked him to pay both commercial and auto coverage over the phone with my credit card. This caused my policy to lapse. Continuing on as I thought it was current, i had a claim about three weeks later. I was out $1,000 as I wasn't covered. I then recently get a bill from a collection agency trying to bill me for a late charge again stemming from when he failed to pay what I asked. I asked him to pay and he was short, cold, passed the blame along, and refused to pay it. I would run from this agency and am currently with a professional agency berends hendricks stuit who are nothing short of fantastic.

  All I can say is WORSE State Farm office in Michigan, from the front desk to Kevin Curtis the "State Farm Agent". Kevin is the most unprofessional "professional" I have ever met. When I noticed I was being charged $240 for the last 3 months after cancelling my insurance with him back in Feb. 2017 I called him to let him know what was going on, he seemed very nonchalant with no urgency in fixing my problem. Instead he blamed me because he would not see any forms filled out for cancellation of policy, I thought your office would take care of that. Not the customer. After talking to Kevin directly to cancel all of policies again more than a week ago, I learned that he has not even submitted my refund and he did not cancel all of policies with them I STILL HAVE MY HOUSE INSURANCE ACTIVE because Kevin did not cancel after I spoke and emailed him. If you want to cancel your policies with them make sure you call more than once, and you explain to them with pictures that you NO LONGER WISH TO STAY WITH THEM. This is why I am here, giving them negative reputation to avoid more victims, I also filed a complaint with their Corporate Head-Quarters and the State. Now they owe me a lot of money and are making it impossible to get MY own money back. Such a bad experience.

  I have had nothing but great service from Steenland Insurnace Agency! There must be much more to Chris's problem. There are always two sides to every story.
